Qualifications

• You have a degree in computer science or a comparable education.
• Ideally, you have several years of professional and project experience.
• You are familiar with relational databases, object orientation and basic concepts of software architecture.
• You are experienced with Progress OpenEdge (desirable; but not required)
• You have a sound knowledge of Java or .NET or comparable technology stacks.
• In your development projects you have used Web technologies, REST, SOAP, Angular, Node.JS, Tomcat.
• You have an understanding of SCM tools, build processes, DevOps basics.
• You have experience with agile development processes like SCRUM.
• You can quickly grasp complex problems and implement them independently in concepts and sophisticated technical solutions.
• You are self-confident, service-oriented and strong in communication.
• You are used to presenting and representing your work results to customers and are confident in it.
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English, French desirable (not a must).
• Willingness to travel and team skills as well as intercultural competence and reliability make your profile complete.

Role

As Consultant/Software Developer you will be responsible for a varied range of tasks covering the full software development lifecycle as follows:

• You will support our customers within the scope of modernization projects in order to optimally advise the customers on introducing and using our developer framework within their corporate IT infrastructure.
• This includes defining technical solutions/approaches to support the integration, capturing customer-specific requirements, proposing and agreeing solutions and producing design documents
• Functional and non-functional testing (including performance testing)
• Assisting the client with delivery/roll out of software releases
• Liaising with the technical and development teams on new and existing changes - ensuring the development team delivers the proposed solution, to the expected level of quality, within the overall plan
• Assisting in trouble shooting and debugging any potential issues with the application
• As well as training and mentoring
• Over a short period of time, you may also be employed by the customer to implement prototypical or more complex programming tasks.
• You will communicate with the product manager of the developer framework about product requirements.
